Frequently asked questions
How many questions are on the Texas CNA written exam?
Written CNA exams typically run 60 to 120 multiple-choice questions in total across all domains, depending on the state and its testing vendor. Vital-sign measurement and infection control are heavily tested everywhere. In Texas, the written exam has 60 questions with a 90-minute limit.
What score do I need to pass?
Texas does not publish an exact written-exam cut score in its official candidate materials. Across states that do publish one, the line is commonly around 70–75%, so our practice tests use 75% as a practice target. Confirm the current rule in the official candidate handbook.
Are these the actual test questions?
No. These are original practice questions written from the public content outlines the real test is built on. They are designed to teach the material, not to reproduce the exam.
